Whilst we've all been home-bound over the last year or so, painting has provided a much needed escape for me.

My intention for this piece is to affect it's owner on a multi-sensory level; taking you away to memories of holidays in faraway places.

I want you to feel that sense of freedom and perspective shift we get when we're away from the daily grind of responsibilities and can hear the rhythm of turquoise waters ebbing and flowing and watch the water sparkling in the piercing sunshine. I want you to be able to feel the warmth, taste the salt air and smell the warm wafts of ocean life in the breeze.

I hope that this piece translates all of those holiday vibes and helps you feel uplifted and energised, relaxed and at peace all at once, whilst at home. It might not beat an actual holiday but why not bring the holiday home.

I've painted this piece using acrylics and oils. I used palette knives and brushes to achieve texture as well as movement within the water which gives it depth. The artwork is done on a premium deep edge canvas and has been painted around the edges.

Included are canvas stretchers. Hanging hardware is not included.

Dimensions are 48” x 24” and 35mm deep.

Ready to be hung straight on a wall, this piece comes unframed however I can arrange framing upon request.
