I help people see what their place could become, then I make it happen.
I'm a designer and artist based in North Yorkshire. I studied architecture at Newcastle, then spent over ten years in London helping people see buildings before they existed.
Since then I've transformed my family's rural holiday business, brought tired homes back to life with warm, bold colour, and created public art and illustrated maps for organisations across the country.

Trained in architecture, with ten years visualising spaces before they were built, I can see the potential in a room and how it should feel to be in it. Then I bring it to life through careful choices of layout, colour, materials and art, just as I took Hungram from a neglected cottage to a warm, characterful home. I run a five-property holiday estate on my family's farm, where I took The Hayloft from first idea through planning to finished building, opened the Larder & Co. and rebuilt the systems behind the scenes. I can join your project at the very beginning, to spot the potential and steer it through planning, or come in later to look at your layout, how it photographs, the guest experience and how it runs. Then I'll help you make the changes that grow your business and make it run more efficiently.

I create art made for its place: a large-scale mural for the National Trust, a 36-metre illustrated tile scheme wrapping the bench seating at the University of Hull, and illustrated maps that guide visitors and help market a destination. I also design bespoke illustrated wallpaper for hospitality spaces and paint private commissions for homes.
