HOMES, INTERIORS, COLOUR & ART

A beautiful home, without having to find the time to make it happen.

Trained in architecture, with fifteen years of seeing what spaces could become, I'll help you find the layout, colours, materials and art that make your home feel like yours, then make it happen.

DOES THIS SOUND FAMILIAR?

You know your home could feel so much better

Some rooms just never feel quite right, and you can't work out why.

You've moved in, and the house doesn't feel like yours yet.

You love the idea of colour, but you're nervous of getting it wrong.

You know what you like, but don't have the time to pull it together.

You're planning a renovation and don't know where to start.

The walls are bare and you want art that really means something.

HOW IT WORKS

Every project starts with a conversation

1

Talk & visit

I come to your home, listen to how you live and what you love, and get a feel for the light and the spaces.

2

Ideas you can picture

Clear ideas for layout, colour, materials and art, with stages and cost options so you can decide what's right for you.

3

Design & Sourcing

I pull it all together and find the pieces, working alongside your builder and trades where needed.

4

Make it real

I stay with it until the rooms are finished and feel the way we imagined.

WHERE I CAN HELP

Homes that look good and feel right

I think about how a space will feel to live in, not just how it looks: how the light moves through it, how you use each room, and the colours, textures and art that make it yours.

01

Colour & Atmosphere

Colour schemes chosen for your light and the way you live, from calm, layered neutrals to something braver.

03

Full Transformation

For renovations and tired houses. I see the potential, plan the changes, and manage the work through to the finished rooms.

02

Interior Design

Layout, furniture, materials, lighting and sourcing, brought together into a home that works as well as it looks.

04

Art for your home

Help choosing art that suits your rooms, or a piece painted just for you. I've painted hundreds of private commissions.

COLOUR & ATMOSPHERE CONSULTATION

Colour that feels right in your home, in your light.

A paint chart can't tell you how a colour will look on your walls on a grey November afternoon.

I can. I'm a painter as well as a designer, and I'll help you find colours that suit your light, your

home and the way you want each room to feel.

It isn't just about paint. Colour comes from wallpaper, fabrics, tiles, wood and art too, so I look

at the whole room: whether a wall wants paint or a beautiful wallpaper, and how every surface

works together.

How a consultation works

1

Before I visit

You send me a few photos and tell me how you use each room, what you love, and anything you already know you want to keep.

2

The visit

We walk through your home together. I look at the light, test colours on your walls, and talk through how you want each room to feel.

3

Your colour scheme

You receive a visual and written scheme for each room, with paint and wallpaper choices, plus ideas for fabrics, materials, lighting and art.

FEATURED PROJECT

Hungram: from neglected cottage to characterful home: from neglected cottage to characterful home

Hungram is an old red-brick farm cottage that was in dire straits when we took it on: good bones, but a dated layout that didn't work. I replanned it so a cramped galley kitchen became a light, open-plan kitchen and dining room. Taking down one wall, adding a large south-facing window and opening bifold doors onto a new patio created a sociable space that spills outdoors for summer meals and barbecues. A recessed range now sits where an old fireplace was, and a peninsula breakfast bar with a waterfall quartz worktop ties the room together.

Through the original archway, I uncovered the sitting room's old fireplace arch and gave it a red-brick herringbone surround and a wood burner. Panelling, bold colour and natural materials bring warmth and character while staying true to the cottage, and original art, mirrors, plants and terracotta pots add light and life throughout. A new boot room and utility with stable doors, and an en-suite that buffers noise from the nearby road, make it work just as well for everyday family life.

In the main bedroom, a rich paprika wall, natural oak and a woven jute lampshade turned a plain room into the warmest in the house.

ART FOR YOUR HOME

The finishing piece

Art and colour change how a room feels. I can help you choose both, or paint the piece that brings it all together.
