Approach

I approach each project as a collaborative process rooted in listening, clarity, and careful response to context.

My role is to help shape spaces, images, and narratives that feel grounded and purposeful — whether for a private home, a public-facing site, or a cultural project.

How Projects Begin

Every project starts with conversation.

This may include site visits, discussions, reference gathering, or written briefs, depending on the scale of the work. The aim at this stage is to understand not only practical requirements, but also how a space is used, what it needs to support, and the experience it’s intended to create.

This early phase establishes shared understanding and direction.

Developing the Work

Ideas are developed through drawing, visual exploration, and spatial testing.

My architectural training allows me to think confidently about scale, proportion, material, and how ideas translate into built or realised form. I work flexibly across different stages — from early concept through to detailed development — and enjoy collaborating with clients, architects, landscape designers, and institutions.

Design decisions are guided by clarity, longevity, and a sensitivity to how people experience space.

Making & Delivery

Depending on the project, I may remain closely involved through to making, installation, or completion.

I’m comfortable working independently or as part of a wider team, and experienced in responding to phased projects, evolving briefs, or site-specific constraints. My focus throughout is on ensuring the original intent of the work is carried through with care.

Working Together

I value open communication, trust, and thoughtful collaboration.

Clients who enjoy dialogue, reflection, and a considered pace tend to find the process most rewarding. In return, I bring focus, clarity, and a steady hand to each project.

WHO I WORK WITH

I work with people and organisations who value thoughtful design and care about how spaces are experienced.

This includes:

Private Clients

Individuals and families seeking homes and interiors that feel calm, grounded, and personal — where colour, material, and layout are shaped through listening rather than trend.

Architects & Design Professionals

Architects, landscape designers, and studios looking for a collaborator who understands spatial thinking, narrative, and atmosphere — and can work fluently alongside architectural processes.

Institutions & Cultural Organisations

Organisations working with place, heritage, landscape, or public engagement — including galleries, trusts, universities, and community-led projects — who value clarity, sensitivity, and long-term thinking.

If your project sits at the intersection of space, story, and experience, we’re likely well aligned.
